Famous american entrepreneur Mark Cuban tells about books that changed him most. Explore his book list!

Buy on amazon "The Fountainhead" by Ayn Rand
Cuban read Rand's The Fountainhead "three complete times and untold number of little snippets and segments," he said in an interview on C-SPAN (March 26, 2006). He first read the book in high school, and it taught him that "it doesn't matter what everybody else thinks -- it's how you see yourself and what your own dreams are." On Slate.com (November 15, 2005), Cuban said the book "was incredibly motivating to me. It encouraged me to think as an individual, take risks to reach my goals, and responsibility for my successes and failures. I loved it." Cuban named his yacht "Fountainhead"

Also recommended by Evan Williams. Ayn Rand is also recommended by Steve Jobs
When The Fountainhead was first published, Ayn Rand's daringly original literary vision and her groundbreaking philosophy, Objectivism, won immediate worldwide interest and acclaim. This instant classic is the story of an intransigent young architect, his violent battle against conventional standards, and his explosive love affair with a beautiful woman who struggles to defeat him. As fresh today as it was then, here is a novel about a hero--and about those who try to destroy him.
Buy on amazon "The Gospel of Wealth" by Andrew Carnegie
"This was a reading assignment in an M.B.A. entrepreneurship class that I snuck into at Indiana University. Bottom line is that among the many patriotic things you can do, one is get rich and pay your taxes."
- from usnews.com
Andrew Carnegie (1835-1919) was a Scottish- American businessman, a major philanthropist, and the founder of the Carnegie Steel Company which later became U. S. Steel. He considered the U. S. as the role model for democratic government. In 1886, he penned his most radical work, entitled Triumphant Democracy. The work was an attempt to argue his view that the American republican system of government was superior to the British monarchical system. He devoted his life to the work of providing the capital for purposes of public interest and was a powerful supporter of the movement for spelling reform as a means of promoting the spread of the English language. Later in his life, he gave away most of his riches to fund the establishment of many libraries, schools, and universities in Scotland, America and worldwide.
Buy on amazon "Rework" by Jason Fried
"If given a choice between investing in someone who has read REWORK or has an MBA, I'm investing in REWORK every time. This is a must read for every entrepreneur."
- Cuban's review
Most business books give you the same old advice: Write a business plan, study the competition, seek investors, yadda yadda. If you're looking for a book like that, put this one back on the shelf. Rework shows you a better, faster, easier way to succeed in business. Read it and you'll know why plans are actually harmful, why you don't need outside investors, and why you're better off ignoring the competition. The truth is, you need less than you think. You don't need to be a workaholic. You don't need to staff up. You don't need to waste time on paperwork or meetings. You don't even need an office. Those are all just excuses.
Buy on amazon "The Only Investment Guide You'll Ever Need" by Andrew Tobias
"This is the only investment book I have read that truly made sense. Bottom line is that you can take a measure of risk on the $5,000 you have to invest in an attempt to earn 10 percent in the stock market, while praying that it all doesn't disappear because someone bought too many yen derivatives. Or you can save 15 percent on the $5,000 a year you spend on replenishables, from toilet paper to cereal to who knows what, and put it in the bank on top of the original $5,000, earn an easy 5 percent, plus accrued interest, on the total and sleep very, very well at night"

And not only does he prove what he says, but he tells others how to avoid a similar fate. Focusing on “disruptive technology,” Christensen shows why most companies miss out on new waves of innovation.
